LEARNING MADE SIMPLE

OUR PHILOSOPHY

At Let's Talk Speech & Language Services, our goal is to make learning simple through fun & engaging activities. We believe every child has the potential to communicate, connect, and succeed using a multimodal approach that blends speech, language, and literacy with services tailored to meet the unique needs of each child.

Our approach is rooted in three key values:

  1. Personalized, culturally responsive care: Every child is unique, and we embrace their individuality by incorporating their cultural backgrounds and learning styles. By using a multimodal approach, we provide a variety of methods and strategies to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.

  2. Collaboration: Parents and caregivers are our essential partners in the journey. We work closely with you to ensure that the strategies we use in therapy are integrated into your child's daily life, supporting growth and progress at home and at school.

  3. Building knowledge & confidence: We focus on enhancing communicative intent and building background knowledge, empowering your child with the skills they need to thrive in communication, reading, and writing. Our goal is to foster both their confidence and their love of learning in an environment where they feel heard, understood, and motivated to succeed.

With our commitment to active learning, culturally responsive practices, and personalized care, we aim to give your child the tools they need for a bright future in both communication and literacy.

Step 3: Generalization

Through activities & interventions, we focus on enhancing your child’s understanding of the world around them, giving them the tools to express their thoughts, feelings, & ideas clearly & purposefully. This helps to strengthen their ability to engage with others both verbally & nonverbally.

While gaining independence & self-confidence, children will grow to love learning through hands-on, engaging activities. We provide a supportive environment where your child can thrive in both communication & literacy, setting them up for success now & in the future.

"Allison has worked with my son since he was 2 years old, for the past 10 months. He was very shy, quiet, and always stuck to me like glue. He would scream if I left the room. Allison has worked with him to say his name, his letters, to associate items with their name, and to be more social. My family, friends, and I, are all so happy with the positive changes we have seen in him. We are constantly using the strategies that Allison has taught us and my son is more vocal, expresses his needs with verbal language, and can even be left alone without mommy, as he now says, 'OK, bye mama!' Allison is enthusiastic, upbeat, positive, and gives tough love to us parents, which we all need when it comes to our children. "
